Minnesota Geospatial Community Resilience Volunteer
In recognition of current and future need for individuals with GIS skill sets during disasters, in spring 2020 the EPC Leadership Team revisited the issue of developing a pool of individuals who could provide volunteer services in the event another Minnesota GIS community member falls seriously ill or needs assistance due to a future disaster. To that end, a volunteer survey form was developed. Completing the form doesn’t obligate an individual in any way, individual information will be kept in strict confidence, and pool data will be consulted for potential volunteers only if a bona fide assistance request is brought before the EPC leadership.
