Fed/Civ Access to "No-Cost" High Resolution Satellite Data2:00 pm - 3:00 pmJoin the USGS National Civil Applications Center Presentation Series: Civil Applications Committee, Source Overview - Fed/Civ Access to "No-Cost" High Resolution Satellite Data Accessing space-based remote sensing (satellite) data has never been easier – or more cost-effective. With the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), National Civil Applications Center (NCAC), you can leverage no-cost resources for new satellite data or archival imagery to meet your organization's needs. For nearly 50 years, the NCAC through the Civil Applications Committee (CAC) has provided remotely sensed (satellite) data to USGS scientists and other Federal agencies. This data, acquired from intelligence and military sensors or commercial satellite contracts by the Department of Defense and Intelligence Agencies, supports science, research, intelligence, hazards, and disaster response efforts. The upcoming presentation series, hosted by NCAC Source staff, will cover: The critical role of the CAC in integrating advanced remote sensing technologies.
Awareness of the no-cost satellite resources available to your organization.
The process for submitting collection requirements.
Accessing these resources through online portals.
Question and Answer with NCAC Source Staff.
